Jon Watts

Jon joined Eden as a trustee in July 2023 and chairs the Finance Committee.  He spent most of his career in large international businesses, including as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Unilever’s Latin American operations and Director of Finance and Control for SABMiller PLC.  He subsequently became global CFO for Save the Children and then for the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), one of the worlds’ largest philanthropies, which focusses on child health and development and fighting climate change.  

At CIFF, he was also responsible for a portfolio of impact investments and for the Foundation’s work on developing capacity and resilience in the NGOs it supports.  Since leaving CIFF he continues to work as an advisor to climate change foundations and NGOs.

Jon’s career involved 10 years living and working abroad (in Poland, Chile and the USA) and he now lives in Cornwall where he feels very much at home.
