Simon Fry

Simon was brought up in East Devon and went to school in Exeter. He took a foundation course in accountancy at Plymouth Polytechnic before joining one of the firms that was to become Ernst & Young, working in Exeter and Jersey.  

Simon’s senior finance experience has mainly involved manufacturing companies, based in the UK as well as in the USA.

Following 25 years based in Bristol, Simon moved back to his roots and for the 15 years prior to joining Eden he was the Finance Director and Company Secretary of Bott Limited, a market-leading engineering business based in Bude that manufactures steel workshop equipment, which is distributed across the world, as well as fitting out vehicles for the service sector in the UK from a base in Ashby de la Zouch. Simon led the finance side of the company that saw substantial expansion in operating facilities in Bude and Ashby, leading to increases in profitability and balance sheet strength.
