Canary Wharf Group partnership
Our groundbreaking partnership with Canary Wharf Group (CWG), the developer of the largest urban regeneration project in Europe, aims to accelerate action to help biodiversity to thrive in urban environments. This unique partnership tackles the challenge of biodiversity in urban locations and offers ways to enhance people’s connection with nature.
Eden Dock, a new urban oasis
Eden Dock is one of the first projects to emerge from the Eden Project and Canary Wharf partnership. The historic Middle Dock - renamed to Eden Dock - has been reimagined into a waterfront oasis, focused on connecting people with water and nature. Eden Dock, features aquatic islands, open spaces, lush gardens and art installations.
The green haven will have a significant positive impact on biodiversity and will boost the wellbeing of those who work, live and visit the neighbourhood providing access to beautiful waterside spaces and nature like never before.

Nature Rising living figure artwork
To mark the launch of Eden Dock, a living artwork, Nature Rising, with over 20 living figures made of ligustrum – a flowering shrub – will be dotted around the dock. The figures show nature and people living together in harmony, reflecting how Eden Dock weaves nature into its urban surroundings through ecological innovation. The figures will become part of CWG’s permanent public art collection.

Biodiversity in a dense urban environment
The ambition for the partnership is to support Canary Wharf in becoming a global example of best practice and innovation on biodiversity in a dense urban environment, to live and work in harmony with nature. Through this collaboration, the partners will be able to share what they learn through their actions at the Wharf to help other urban developments’ work for nature as well as people.
