Maddie, the Plants and You, sees popular presenter Maddie Moate exploring everything about plants, how they grow and survive, how we use them in our everyday lives and how it’s important we look after them and the planet.
Eden’s Director of Interpretation Dr Jo Elworthy said: “As the home of the one of the greatest assemblies of economic plants on Earth and a Living Theatre of Plants and People, we were delighted to host Maddie and her team while they filmed this wonderful series.
“The stories told within the episodes of the relationships between people, plants, nature and the whole wide world around us is a great fit with how we engage with our visitors, including the 50,000 schoolchildren who visit in organised groups every year.
“We’re confident that audiences of all ages will engage, learn and enjoy Maddie’s fabulous show. It was great working with her and her team on a subject so dear to our hearts.”
The first episode of Maddie, the Plants and You entitled The Flowers goes out on CBeebies on at 4.25pm today and will be available to view on iPlayer shortly afterwards.
The Eden Project is planning to reopen on May 17, 2021, subject to the latest Government guidance.
