The one-star award is from Best Companies, the specialists whose recognition programme is the standard for workplace engagement.
Eden has around 610 employees, mostly based at the home of the famous Biomes near St Austell in Cornwall. The project also supports more than 180 active volunteers.
This is the second time Eden has entered these awards and the first time it has been placed in the top 100. The award was made at a ceremony at Evolution London.
Eden’s HR Director Dawn George said: “We are excited to have grown our levels of engagement to be included in the Top 100. Following our 2017 survey we assessed the results and listened to what our employees were saying.
“From this we’ve actively worked on some key development areas including strengthening our learning and development strategy and scope of offer, embedding an active mental health and wellbeing strategy, and further building our benefits programme.
“Giving people their birthday as an extra day of holiday was one of the really well-received additions. We’re proud to be included as a ‘best company’ and will continue the work with our 2019 feedback to further improve our engagement levels.”
Eden was awarded its accreditation for its Best Companies Index score from the Best Companies survey, which measures how engaged people are at work and how they feel about their employer.
