Diners can enjoy temperate alfresco-style meals in the new-look restaurant, along with a carefully selected range of wines, beers and spirits.
New stone paving and UK-grown chestnut fencing add to the Mediterranean ambience beneath the dappled shade of elegant date palms, with surrounding vistas of colourful flowering blooms and Italian olive groves.
A carefully curated seasonal menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes celebrates local Cornish produce from suppliers that share Eden’s underlying sustainable sourcing policy.
The introduction of small plates, such as Cornish blue cheese arancini with roasted beetroot ketchup, offer a lighter lunchtime selection to accompany heartier plates. These include the likes of a daily changing fresh pasta dish and saffron-infused paella with Cornish seafood, chicken, chorizo and Lerwick langoustine.
Some ingredients, including herbs, salad leaves and chillies are grown and harvested from gardens around the Med Terrace restaurant and in Eden’s great outdoors.
A variety of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers are also grown at Eden’s nearby Watering Lane Nursery, home to the People and Gardens community organisation that empowers people with learning disabilities or emotional impairments to develop core skills and support one another.
Eden’s Head Chef Mike Greer said: “We are delighted to have The Med Terrace back open again. I was the first Sous Chef to run the venue back when it first opened in 2014 and have many fantastic memories from these early days.
“To me, it’s simply the nicest kitchen to work in and the food we serve reflects the season and uses the best produce Cornwall has to offer. We look forward to continually improving the high standards we have set in there and want it to be the place to eat in Cornwall.”
Other suppliers include WestCountry Fruit Sales, which supplies locally-grown fruit and veg, James Kittow butchers provide quality, traceable meat and Wings of St Mawes sources sustainable Cornish seafood.

The revamped restaurant is open daily from 12:00pm to 15:00pm, no prior booking necessary, with small plates starting at £4 and main plates from £13.
