The Bedford-born singer’s prolific rise to fame over the last few years has seen him land two consecutive UK number one albums and five UK platinum singles, amassing over 1.3 billion streams and 9 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
2023 has marked yet another pinnacle year for Tom, seeing him embark on his first UK headline arena tour and making his Glastonbury Festival debut on the Other Stage to enraptured fans the day after his third album, What Ifs & Maybes, went to number one in UK charts. To add to the accolades, Tom recently scooped up Best UK Act in the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Rita Broe, Managing Director of Eden Sessions Ltd, said: “Having Tom join next year’s Eden Sessions line-up bolsters what promises to be an incredible season of world-class music. Tom is making huge waves in the industry and his on-stage energy is infectious – we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us.”
Tom’s early life saw him train as a professional footballer, playing briefly for Luton Town. The passion for the beautiful game clearly never left him as he went on to play in the annual celebrity Soccer Aid, winning Player of the Match for two consecutive years.
Tom first burst onto the music scene in 2016 as a guest vocalist on the Chase & Status track All Goes Wrong, shortly followed by his debut single and EP, Something in the Water.
His first studio album, Lighting Matches, was released in 2018, peaking at number five in the UK Album charts and including the single Found What I’ve Been Looking For. It went on to become one of the best-selling debut albums of 2018.
It was Tom’s breakthrough second studio album that shot straight to number one in 2021, delivering the singles This is the Place and Little Bit of Love.
His latest and third album, What Ifs & Maybes, followed suit earlier this year, also entering the UK chart at number one, supported by singles Remind Me, All These Nights, You’re Not Alone and Here.
As well as his pivotal guest vocals with Chase & Status, Tom has collaborated with a number of high-profile musicians and producers, including featuring on the 2021 Calvin Harris track By Your Side and the 2022 KSI hit Not Over Yet – both Top 10 hits. Let’s Go Home Together with Ella Henderson featured on the extended version of the Evering Road album, also making it into the Top 10 in 2021 and achieving platinum status.
