These workshops are 90-minute facilitated sessions designed for adults who would benefit from being part of a fun and friendly group, learning more about the wonder of nature and trying new, creative activities. We don't currently have any confirmed dates for Wonder Workshops, but you can register your interest below.
Booking is essential. Contact natureconnections@edenproject.com or telephone 01726 818550 to register your interest. This activity is offered free of charge thanks to funding from the Pears Foundation and is part of our Nature Connections programme of activities for better health and wellbeing.
You will be guided by a facilitator on a journey through the Eden Project's living collection of plants and the impact they have on our everyday life. Each week we will focus on a different plant found in Eden's Biomes – igniting curiosity and discovering our connections to them – and responding with a different creative activity, from drawing and investigating, to tasting and journaling.
Expect an interactive and creative experience, where you'll get the chance to take a closer look at plants and their features, through both knowledge sharing and storytelling.
Activities are suitable, or can be adapted for, anyone with any skill level. As sessions have a strong sensory element, please do let us know of any allergies or additional needs before you attend by emailing natureconnections@edenproject.com.
Nature benefits our wellbeing, and these workshops have been developed to spark wonder about our natural world. Wonder is a very particular feeling, which captures our attention and generates excitement-fuelled interest. It’s a key part of gaining knowledge and helps us keep learning, whatever our age.
The Eden Project's Biomes and gardens offer a feast for the senses and its living collection tells stories of global connections, adaptation and resilience. Being in green spaces benefits our health and wellbeing. Feeling and understanding our connections to nature enhances these benefits.
Yes, carers are free to attend. Please tell us that you’d like to bring your carer when you book your space.
The Eden Project is an accessible site and more details about accessibility can be found here. You are welcome to bring walking aids. The walks around the Biomes are relatively short distances and quite flat. There are accessible routes from the Visitor Centre, and this is a longer journey. Do allow plenty of time to get from your vehicle to the session meeting place. Please let us know about your access requirements when you book.
