This workshop enables students to:
- Use Eden examples to explore sustainability as a practical concept through the application of the ‘triple bottom line’.
- Recognise and take a view on global efforts being made towards a sustainable future through the UNSDGs.
- Develop an awareness of how being part of an organisation can amplify change and be inspired to take the message that change is possible back to their school.
We've designed the workshop to help teachers cover the following subject areas:
Geography KS3 -The use of natural materials and how human activity relies on effective functioning of natural systems.
Geography KS4 - Resources and their Management
Citizenship KS3 - Students will study the roles played by institutions and voluntary groups in society, and the ways in which citizens work together to improve their communities, including opportunities to participate in school based activities.
Citizenship KS4 - Students should experience and evaluate different ways that citizens can act together to solve problems and contribute to society. The different ways in which a citizen can contribute to the improvement of his or her community, to include the opportunity to participate actively in community volunteering, as well as other forms of responsible activities.
