Thank you for joining us for Reclaim 2024. An inspiring weekend of talks, events and happenings, curated to support mental and planetary wellbeing.   

Please note that entry to the Eden Project is not guaranteed without an advanced booking, unless you are a Member or Patron. Visitors to Eden are strongly encouraged to pre-book a time slot in advance of each visit, including Passholders, and those who can visit for free. 

What's planned

A packed programme of talks by experts, influencers and artists exploring the big questions: can football save the world, should art be political and what is the relationship between food and our mental health?

Flex your creative muscles in our clay workshops or join us for a mindful tour of our Acts of Gathering exhibition. Explore the neuroscience of body image, self-worth and identity with Self By Choice. Let us guide you through your first forays into growing vegetables with our beginner gardening workshops. Please note, these workshops and tours must be booked in advance.

Art is for everyone: in conversation with Serge Attukwei Clottey

THIS TALK IS FULLY BOOKED

When: Saturday 27 January, 11.30am

Location: Mediterranean Biome

Ghanaian artist Serge Attukwei Clottey works across installation, performance, painting, photography and sculpture. Serge primarily employs found and recycled materials from his hometown of Accra in creating a dialogue with the city’s cultural history and identity, while exploring the ideological and psychic meanings that are invested in everyday objects as well as how such materials circulate in local and global economies.

Serge will be joined by Jelena Sofronijevic, producer of the EMPIRE LINES podcast*, to discuss why art should be approachable and the important dialogues it can open up about politics, culture and the environment.

Serge's artwork is currently being exhibited in our Acts of Gathering exhibition in the Core Gallery.

Gaz Oakley, is a popular chef, Youtuber and author. He'll be offering empowering advice on moving towards a more plant-based diet and discussing his transition from bustling London to homesteading in the Welsh countryside.

Can Football Save the World? In conversation with Elliot Arthur-Worsop

When: Sunday 28 January, 11.30am

Location: Mediterranean Biome

Join us in conversation with Elliot Arthur-Worsop, founder of Football For Future, as he argues that football is the unlikely solution for tackling the climate crisis. Elliot is joined by Alexei Rojas, goalkeeper for the youth academy of Arsenal.

Steph Elswood is a wellness advocate, professional dancer, director of the body confidence workshops ‘Stay Sassy’, founder of CAROUSE non-alcoholic spirits and co-founder of Dry Disco Sober Festival events. She is joined by Millie Gooch, founder of Sober Girl Society and author of The Sober Girl Society Handbook, to discuss the relationship between body image, sobriety, mental health and looking for joy in everyday life.

Beginner Vegetable Gardening Workshop

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULLY BOOKED

When: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January – 11am and 3pm 

Location: Tipis 

Embark on your gardening journey! Join us for a transformative Beginner Vegetable Gardening Workshop in our Tipis, where seasoned experts will guide you through your first forays into growing, with plenty of advice on garden planning and hands on demonstrations. 

An additional charge of 50p applies for this workshop. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Each workshops lasts approximately 60 minutes.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULLY BOOKED

When: Sunday 28 January – 10.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm

Location: Classroom 3, Core Building

Join in our creative workshop making clay sculptures inspired by nature. These sessions will be facilitated by artist Anna Harris and the creations will become part of Maria Nepomuceno’s Você me Alimenta (You feed me), on show as part of the Acts of Gathering exhibition on display in our Core Gallery. This workshop is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult. 

An additional charge of 50p applies for this workshop. Each workshops lasts approximately 60 minutes.

What are Acts of Gathering? A mindful tour of our exhibition

THIS TOUR IS FULLY BOOKED

When: Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January, 10am and 4.30pm 

Location: Core Gallery

This exhibition brings together a number of artworks that celebrate and interrogate the nature of food culture, inviting us to consider the ceremony and symbolism that shape our connections to food, to each other and to the earth.

Join our Arts team for a 30-minute interactive guided tour of our latest exhibition, to explore how we connect through food culture in a rapidly changing world.
