About this experience

Father Christmas and his team of industrious Elves have set up camp at the Eden Project and are making their final preparations for Christmas. This immersive experience is full of wonder, games and fun for the whole family.

You're invited to step into their enchanting log cabin for an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at where the Christmas magic happens.

As part of this unforgettable 40-minute experience, each child will be given the chance to meet Father Christmas and leave with a precious gift to take home. Father Christmas ticket holders can also enjoy a free ride on our beautiful vintage carousel.

How to book

All children and adults require a pre-booked ticket to the Father Christmas experience, plus a valid form of Eden general admission (such as an Annual or Locals' Pass, or Membership).

Existing Pass holders must pre-book a time-slot to the Eden Project at least 30 minutes before their Father Christmas experience. This allows time to stroll down to his cabin.

Our Father Christmas experience is extremely popular and tickets sell out fast, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Eden Project Members do not need to pre-book Eden Project entry but do require a pre-booked Father Christmas ticket. There is a maximum of four children per adult.

Relaxed sessions

We are offering relaxed Father Christmas sessions for those who’d benefit from an environment with fewer people, and more chance to explore at your own pace. Relaxed sessions are open to all but are designed with those with autism, sensory or communication needs in mind. Relaxed sessions will take place on:

FAQs

Prices vary between £12–£16 for everyone depending on which session you book, and tickets must be purchased for all children and adults attending the experience.

Every entry to the Father Christmas experience requires a pre-booked ticket, plus a valid form of Eden admission (such as an Annual or Locals’ Pass or Eden Project Membership).

Unless you are a Member or Patron you must also pre-book a timed entry slot to the Eden Project for everyone in your party (including under-fives and carers) which is at least 30 minutes earlier than the start of your experience.

Carers and babies under 12 months of age are free of charge for entry to the Father Christmas experience, but will still require a pre-booked timed entry slot.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of four children per adult. Adult tickets cannot be exchanged or used as entry for a child.

The experience lasts around 40 minutes, and starts promptly. We ask that you arrive five minutes before the start of the experience to allow time to be seated.

Make sure you book your Eden Project timed-entry at least 30 minutes before your Father Christmas experience starts to allow time to make your way from the Visitor Centre to the experience.

If your child would benefit from a more relaxed Father Christmas experience designed specifically for children with autism or other sensory and communication needs, we run special relaxed sessions. These sessions are quieter, with fewer people in each performance. We reduce the lights and sound, and you can explore Father Christmas's cabin at your own pace.
