Explore and Play

Come and discover Eden Project's fascinating plants. Journey into the Mediterranean and Rainforest Biomes and discover plants with everyday uses and stories of global connections. Through themed play activities, children will have opportunities to learn more about and connect with these plants.

Explore and Play is best suited for children aged 2 to 5 years with their parent, grandparent or guardian.

Explore and Play is a 75-minute session, best suited for children aged 2 to 5 years and their families, to discover more about Eden Project's fascinating plants and their connections to them. Each session will have a different theme with plants to find in Eden Project's iconic Biomes. Our facilitators will meet you at the beginning of each session and, after introductions, they’ll share clues to find the plants. Explore the Biomes together, then join in with play activities linked to the session theme.

This session includes sensory play – handling plants, using clay, paint or play-dough and food tasting. Before attending, please inform us of any intolerances or allergies by emailing natureconnections@edenproject.com

Meet your guides on the Med Terrace or café area inside the Med Biome. Please leave plenty of time to walk down to the Med Biome from the Visitor Centre. You’ll receive further instructions with your booking confirmation. You’ll explore the Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes so please be prepared for varying temperatures and wear layers. The Med Biome can be quite cold on a grey day. Please also consider the weather outdoors, as the walk to the Biomes is outside.
